Wilderness Conservation
Protecting the precious & fragile wild places
We support environmental initiatives around Australia to protect critical wilderness areas, including the unique flora and fauna of The Blue Mountains.

The Wild Edges would like to invite environmental groups to be part of protecting this 50-acre property surrounded by Blue Mountains World Heritage National Park.

We welcome organisations interested in using the property for research to do with The Blue Mountains environment to partner with us.

Support
At The Wild Edges we are committed to supporting the protection of vulnerable wilderness areas in Australia. Two important organizations we support are:
The largest private owner of land for conservation in Australia, it acquires and protects large amounts of endangered natural areas, works with existing landowners or traditional owners in managing land to protect wildlife, often restoring species back into areas from which they have vanished and carrying out important wildlife research. Their website makes for important reading.
The Tasmanian Land Conservancy protects nature on private land.
They identify the most important areas to protect then either:
buy the land to keep in their suite of reserves,
buy the land then put a conservation protection on the title and on-sell it,
or work with existing landholders to help them manage the land for conservation.
